Continuous Learning

Amigdala is a learning organisation, committed to reframing failures and mistakes — in today’s neoliberal and hyper-performative context — as generative spaces for mutual learning and transformation.

As outlined in our values, we strive to cultivate a culture of feedback, and we intentionally design opportunities to reflect on our work through a lens of evaluation and growth. In particular, we implement the following practices:

  • Retrospective For major projects, we hold a retrospective meeting after the activities are completed. This space allows us to reflect together on what went well and what could be improved, and to share perspectives for the future.

  • State of the Art Once a year, we hold a dedicated moment where each of us can share personal successes and failures with the rest of the team, receiving feedback in an atmosphere of listening, care, and collective attention.

  • Amigdala Inside Once a year, we retreat for two days to a remote location, where we revisit our agreements, write new visions, strengthen our relationships, and create space for collective learning.
