# Our Handbook

<mark style="color:purple;">"</mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">to do something of value, in good company</mark>*<mark style="color:purple;">"</mark> \ <mark style="color:purple;">Sue Kay</mark>

This handbook originates from the desire to **make transparent and accessible** a long process of organizational structuring and decentralization that began in 2020

**Revolutionizing the management systems of an organization operating in the artistic field**, which are still often anchored to hierarchical logic and lack transparency, as well as committing ourselves to **creating a fairer and healthier ecosystem**, are the motivations that prompted us to embark on this path

The path towards decentralized governance – which can never be considered fully established and requires constant maintenance – is also an opportunity for a group to reflect **on the power dynamics underlying their actions** and on what tools can be implemented to try to overcome them.

A journey that would not have been possible without the courage of all the Amigdala companions and without the support of various people who accompanied us along this path, among them: **Thomas Kemps and Daniele Bucci** for [Ecosistemica](https://www.ecosistemica.org/); **Gaspare Caliri, Cecilia Colombo, and Francesca Calzolari** for [Kilowatt](https://kilowatt.bo.it/).&#x20;

We hope this document - which we will continue to update step by step - can help make our operating methods more transparent, and at the same time be a **support to other organizations wishing to undertake a similar journey**.

The creation of this handbook was also supported by Comune di Modena, Settore Pari Opportunità through the public call "Senza Chiedere Permesso" 2024.
